This Code of Conduct aims to set out the minimum standards for anyone involved in our leagues. When playing at a DodgeballZ League or Event the Code of Conduct applies to all its players, staff and supporters.
At DodgeballZ we expect our players to:
Read and understand the rules before playing competition level leagues.
Act within the rules and spirit of the sport.
Promote fair play over winning at any cost.
Be honest with any hits on their own person and team and be able to call themselves out - irrespective if anyone observed the hit or not.
Approach Match Officials between rounds with any complaints or observations.
Approach the Organisers if there are any complaints regarding their Match Official either between halves or after their game.
Respect the decisions of Match Officials and Organisers.
Respect and courtesy to all involved with the sport.
Respect the rights and worth of every person, regardless of their age, race, gender, body, ability, cultural background, sexuality or religion.
Display appropriate and responsible behaviour in all interactions.
Act with integrity and objectivity, and accept responsibility for your decisions and actions.
Ensure your decisions and actions contribute to a safe environment.
Ensure your decisions and actions contribute to a harassment-free environment.
Not demonstrate or tolerate abusive, bullying or threatening behaviour.
Be aware of your own and other people abilities and experience levels and use common sense.
Headshots are a part and parcel of the game of Dodgeball. However, it is deemed unsportsmanlike to intentionally aim for the face/head on a repetitive basis or within close range. Throwers: It is common courtesy to apologise loudly and clearly and in extreme cases run over and check if they are okay. Penalties do apply if you are found aiming at the head with malicious intent.
Any person found to be acting with misconduct may be ejected or temporarily banned from our leagues as decided by the organisers.
